Nokia and Microsoft Zune, iNano for Christmas?

added by Michael on 4 Aug 2008

A slimmer version of Apple's 3G iPhone could be on the shelves in time for Christmas,  the UK PC Advisor tells us that an insider at Telefonica said via the Daily Mail that the iPhone Nano would be a pay-as-you-go device and would be launched (in the UK at least) for about £150.

In related news, Stuff.tv reports on a rumor that Nokia might be teaming up with Microsoft to turn the Zune into a phone.

According to fan blog Zunescene, a “well–placed source within Microsoft” has said the Finnish mobile makers are working with a team of developers on the “integration of Zune Marketplace content.”

This suggests that rather than a new piece of iPhone–baiting hardware, Microsoft will integrate their service with Nokia’s new Comes With Music. This alongside apparent plans to put Zune Marketplace on WinMo phones like the HTC Touch Diamond.
